Events in Verona: Opera Season, Vinitaly and much more

Verona is a dynamic city where events and exhibitions take place daily, in different contexts and environments.

The quintessential city of love, Verona is the ideal place to spend Valentine’s Day with your loved one. The entire old town is tinged with red for this occasion, and comes alive with events and performances dedicated to the greatest love story ever written, recreated through music, dances and performances.

Throughout the summer season, the Roman amphitheater Arena di Verona turns into a spectacular stage for the Opera Season. Brilliant performances are hosted each year in this spectacular venue, which welcomes also international concerts and dance perfomances.

Moreover, for Christmas, the city’s myriad twinkling lights create a magic atmosphere, culminating in the magnificent Christmas star that rises from the Arena and rests its wings on the Square. Piazza dei Signori houses the traditional Christmas Markets where exhibitors showcase their local produce or small crafts.

Many international exhibitions are also held in Verona, such as Vinitaly, the largest rendezvous for wine enthusiasts, producers and experts.Vinitaly provides the opportunity to attend lectures, debates and workshops on everything wine, thus proving to be an essential point of reference for the wine world.

Plenty of opportunities are also dedicated to culture and art: the city hosts many international art exhibitions, in modern or historical environments, such as Palazzo della Gran Guardia or the Castelvecchio Museum.
